AisaFENIX is a hyperspectral sensor for remote sensing applications which covers the wavelength range from 380 nm to 2500 nm in a single camera in one single continuous image. AisaFENIX comes with a single front optic and input slit – a feature commonly used in the entire 400 - 2500 nm range. There is no need for pixel co-registration in different wavelength ranges. The instrument has excellent transmission (> 65%), and a great signal-to-noise ratio and sampling interval. It boasts extreme ruggedness at a 75% reduction in size and weight compared to previous systems, and supports the installation in different kinds of airborne vehicles. AisaFENIX is available as standard version with 384 spatial pixels and as high-spatial-resolution version AisaFENIX 1K with 1024 spatial pixels.
AisaOWL is a high-performance, thermal hyperspectral camera designed to meet the requirements of both demanding remote sensing and field or laboratory applications. The system consists of SPECIM’s proprietary temperature-stabilized imaging spectrograph and a highly sensitive cooled LWIR MCT camera. This allows stable data acquisition even during long flight times without the constant need for recalibration. AisaOWL acquires full, continuous hyperspectral data with 96 spectral channels and 384 spatial pixels. The spectral resolution is 100 nm and spectral sampling of the system is a spectacular 48 nm per pixel (spectral band). The shutter is the only moving part in AisaOWL. It is used for dark image acquisition once in a run. Since there are no other moving parts, there are no mechanical distortions in the sensor itself.
Two different lenses are available for the hyperspectral camera. Both are specially designed for highly accurate measurements. The system runs with 100 frames per second, which leads to sharp images even at fast acquisition speeds.
The process of light energy being converted to chemical energy for the growth of plants is called photosynthesis. The sun-induced fluorescence is very weak and therefore requires extremely sensitive spectrographs to become visible. AisaIBIS is designed to measure the sun-induced fluorescence. It uses the Fraunhofer line-depth method, where the weak fluorescence signal is detected and quantified at the two oxygen absorption lines in the spectral region of 670 - 780 nm. AisaIBIS is equipped with SPECIM's high light throughput imaging spectrometer that is based on a highly sensitive sCMOS camera with low noise, high dynamic range and high signal-to-noise ratio.
